Gov. Moore Appoints Thompson to Major State Commission on Transportation Infrastructure

Antoine M. Thompson, Executive Director, of the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition (GWRCCC), a businessman and former NYS Senator (pictured), at his Swearing-In Ceremony and Oath of Office for his 2-year appointment by Governor Wes Moore to the Maryland Commission on Transportation Revenue and Infrastructure Needs. The 31-member Commission on Transportation Revenue and Infrastructure Needs was created to review, evaluate, and make recommendations concerning the prioritization and funding of transportation projects.  The Commission is comprised of legislators; representatives from local government, transportation, industry, business, labor, and environmental organizations; and several members of the Moore Administration.  Thompson is a homeowner in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and First Baptist Church of Glenarden. He was the first African American elected official to chair the NYS Senate Committee on Environmental Conservation.
